I have always found it ironic that although people take a vacation so that they can get away from the stress of their daily lives and relax for awhile, they end up getting more stressed out than normal during their vacation. Whether it’s because of travel issues or a problem during the trip, a lot of people end up having vacations that aren’t very relaxing. I think it’s safe to say that this issue is especially common during family trips.

Because I didn’t want to fall into this category, I made as many preparations as possible before taking my family to Nashville. By getting everything taken care of ahead of time, I felt like I could minimize any problems that could cause stress. I think my best decision was getting a car rental for Nashville ahead of time. This allowed us to easily get around, and I think it really helped us avoid a lot of situations that would have caused people to get upset at each other.

Overall, my planning strategy seemed to work quite well, and all of the family members who went on this trip had an easy going, fun trip together.
